I started at the front desk: checking patients in, verifying insurance, collecting copays, and fielding the billing questions nobody else wanted. That's where I learned how many billing problems start long before a claim is ever submitted.
Then I moved into practice administration, running day-to-day operations for high-volume offices with up to 10 employees and, later, multi-location operations: staffing, scheduling, payer relationships, and compliance.
Then I took over billing management: claims, denials, appeals, credentialing, prior authorizations, and the A/R reports that tell you whether a practice is actually getting paid.
Along the way I've seen how administrative friction — denied claims, complex prior authorizations, and 'leaky' workflows — can drain the energy of even the most dedicated providers. I founded S2S Medical Billing Co. to change that.
Today S2S focuses on two kinds of practices: behavioral health (therapists, counselors, psychologists, social workers, psychiatrists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners) and physical and occupational therapy. In both, time-based codes, authorizations, visit limits, and credentialing decide whether you get paid, and small mistakes repeat on every claim. S2S also serves ABA, cardiology, podiatry, and home health practices.
I'm based in Bayonne, New Jersey. I meet in person with practices in Bayonne and the rest of Hudson County, and I work remotely with practices in New York City and North Jersey, Washington State, and beyond.
My approach is rooted in the 5% Rule: a healthy practice is built on clean data and relentless follow-up. Whether I'm navigating the coding nuances of Mental Health, Psychiatry, Physical Therapy, or Occupational Therapy, my goal is to keep your aging buckets below 5% and your focus on your patients.
